A national television audience will see the Boston Celtics take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee Wednesday night on ESPN (7:30pm ET).

The Celtics are coming into this one after having lost four of their last five games. The most recent was a 132-126 beating at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Milwaukee is in much better shape winners of their last seven. They took care of the Indiana Pacers 140-113 without the help of Giannis Antetokounmpo last time out.

Milwaukee has had the upper hand in this series, recently winning six of the last eight matchups but it was the Celtics taking the last one 122-121 on December 23rd, 2020. The most current odds show the Bucks as 3.5-point favorites in this meeting, and there are more than enough props to consider.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is being listed as questionable for this game. For that reason, we will explore the Celtics side of the ball for player prop bets.

Brown Lets It Fly

One player that just seems to get better every time he steps on the court this season is Jaylen Brown. Although he could always score, this season he has taken things to another level, averaging almost 25 points per game on only 19 shots per contest. Even with the elevated shot attempts, he’s still shooting a career best 48.6% from the field. Plus, he may have the wettest, smoothest jumper in the league.

One noticeable place that Brown has taken his game is behind the three-point line. He’s putting up 6.5 three-point attempts per game, which is a career-high, and hitting a shade over 38% which is second best of his career.

Lately, he’s lived beyond the arc, averaging 11.25 three-point attempts per game over his last four. Two games ago against the Orlando Magic, he took 19 and hit 10 of them.

Tonight against the Bucks is another opportunity for Brown to show off his new found love of the long ball. The preferred way for NBA teams to attack Milwaukee’s defense is to dial it up from long distance. On the season, only three-teams have seen their opponents take more three-pointers.

In the Bucks last game, they saw the Pacers attempt a ridiculous 50 three-pointers. On the season, Indiana averages 34.2 such attempts ranking them 19th in the Association. If the Celtics choose to go chuck and duck tonight, Brown has a great chance of sinking three of them.

  • The Pick: Jaylen Brown Over  2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+122)

Jayson Tatum Can Shoot Too

Jaylen Brown isn’t the only Celtic player that figures to shoot the moon tonight as Jayson Tatum is just as likely to get in on the action. On the season, Tatum is averaging just a shade over seven three-point attempts per game which puts him firmly in play at his current line.

Although his long range percentage is down from 40% to 38% this season, make no mistake, he can still drain the three.

Tatum comes into this one in great form from deep which is key. Over his last seven games, he has attempted at least five threes in all of them and has made at least three in six of the seven. In the Celtics’ last meeting with the Bucks, Tatum took 13 threes and made six of them. He is a great bet to knock down at least three tonight.

  • The Pick: Jayson Tatum Over  2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-136)
