Harden The Facilitator
One of the most noteworthy feats of James Harden’s outstanding career is his three NBA scoring titles while playing for the Houston Rockets.
However, Harden has been an assists machine since the Nets acquired him from the Rockets in a trade Jan. 13. He has dished out an average of 11.7 dimes in his first 17 games since coming to Brooklyn after leading the league in that category last season.

In all, Harden has 199 assists for the Nets. No player in the last 35 seasons has reached 200 assists with a new team faster than the first 19 games – Kenny Anderson with the Charlotte Hornets in 1996, Mark Jackson with the Denver Nuggets in 1996 and Rajon Rondo with the Sacramento Kings in 2019.
In 12 of those 17 games with the Nets, Harden has handed out at least 12 helpers and his high is 16 at the Golden State Warriors on Feb. 13.
Harden had 14 assists when the Nets beat the Clippers 124-120 on Feb. 2 in Brooklyn. That was part of a triple-double in which he also registered 23 points and 12 rebounds.
With the Nets leading the NBA in scoring at 121.3 points a game, Harden has plenty of opportunities for assists.
Pick: James Harden over 10.5 assists (-134)
A Serge of Rebounds
The Clippers are just 15th in the league in rebounding. However, Serge Ibaka is a steady presence on the boards for Los Angeles.
Ibaka is averaging 6.7 rebounds a game this season. He has had double-digit boards in four games and exceeded eight rebounds 12 times.
The veteran has always crashed the boards in whatever uniform he was wearing.

In three of the last four games, Ibaka has had exactly nine rebounds. He grabbed 10 when the Clippers beat the Nets earlier this month.
While the Nets have plenty of offensive firepower, they are not good on the boards, standing 20th in the NBA in overall rebounds and 27th in defensive rebounding.
So, Ibaka should plenty of opportunities for rebounds in a fast-paced game between the team with the best offensive rating in the league (Nets) and the one that is No. 2 (Clippers).
Pick: Serge Ibaka over 6.5 rebounds (+110)
