Lichtenstein’s new Maximus Casino Schaan set for April unveiling


Despite ongoing uncertainty over the future of the casino industry in the age of coronavirus and MCL-Resorts AG has reportedly announced that it intends to premiere Lichtenstein’s new Maximus Casino Schaan property in April.

According to a Monday report from G3Newswire, the German operator revealed that the coming venue for the small community of Shaan will feature a modest hotel as well as a gaming floor offering in excess of 200 slots alongside electronic blackjack and roulette units. The source moreover detailed that the future enterprise is to be the sixth casino in Lichtenstein and sit less than a mile from the tiny Alpine nation’s border with neighboring Switzerland.

Headquartered in the Bavarian town of Illertissen, MCL-Resorts AG reportedly also explained that the premiere of its Maximus Casino Schaan is destined to create up to 70 full-time jobs spread across a variety of roles in the endeavor’s casino and hotel. Run by father and son duo Anton and Andreas Schmid, the company furthermore purportedly pronounced that its inaugural Lichtenstein property was due to open this month but had this target delayed by the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

Anton Schmid has reportedly been involved with the European casino industry for over 40 years via his work with German gaming machine developer Deutsche Psmtec GmbH and has already moved his home to Shaan. His son is purportedly soon set to follow with both having told the St Galler Tagblat newspaper that they ‘are confident’ their Maximus Casino Schaan venue ‘will be able to welcome its first guests in April.’
