As if a $720,000 head start wasn’t enough there is now an additional $200k side bet in the Bill Perkins vs Landon Tice handicap match.
We are almost ready to start the curious heads-up match between Landon Tice and Bill Perkins and some extra stipulations have been added.
New rules on buyouts and ensuring the match is played before the 2021 WSOP in September have been added, but most interesting is an even money $200,000 side bet.
News regarding the HU Challenge vs @bp22
A) Sidebet at 200k 1:1 has been added
B) If 15k hands don’t get played before the start of WSOP due to an arbitrator (@haralabob) saying Bill was the “reason” for it, he pays 100k
C) Can buyout halfway, and the penalty is the sidebet.

Tice is already giving Perkins a $720,000 head-start in their 15,000 hand challenge at $200/$400, now he could be risking just under a million before you factor in the profit and loss from the matches themselves. Although it has been quite public that Tice is playing for a relatively small amount of his own action.
The match is still expected to start next month, though no dates have been confirmed yet.
Perkins plays on the THETA network
Speaking of Bill Perkins he has most recently been seen playing on a live broadcast WPT cash game for the THETA network.
If that name sounds familiar, it is the new network that is looking to revolutionise video content, NFTs and cryptocurrency. It is the platform that has been selling NFTs of ‘WPT Moments’ this month.
They missed an opportunity for the players to play in THETA (the platform’s native currency) rather than dollars, but take a look at the link below because it might be a glimpse into the future of streamed poker content:
