Chris Sutton reacts to John McGinn’s goal against Austria | Sportslens.com

Scotland managed to grind out a 2-2 draw against Austria last night and Aston Villa star John McGinn scored a sensational overhead kick to secure a point for his country late on in the game.

The hardworking midfielder scored on the 85th minute of the game to level the scores for his country and Austria will be disappointed to have dropped two points here despite leading twice in the game.

Apart from the goal, the Villa midfielder put on a solid display at the centre of the park.

Last night’s performance will have given him some much-needed confidence and it will be interesting to see if he can finish the season strongly with Villa now.

McGinn has been inconsistent for Dean Smith’s side this season and the Scottish international has struggled to recapture his best form ever since his return from injury.

The Villa fans will be hoping that McGinn can carry this form and confidence into the Premier League now. The West Midlands club have been struggling in recent weeks and they will need their key players fit and firing in order to finish the season strongly.

Former Scotland international Chris Sutton has not reacted to the midfielder’s brilliant equaliser against Austria on Twitter.
