Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Everton are interested in signing Ronald Araujo from Barcelona in the summer transfer window. The well-known and well-respected journalist, who works for The Guardian and SkySport, has claimed that the Toffees are planning to sign a centre-back and appreciate the 22-year-old centre-back.
However, according to Romano, Barcelona not want to sell the Uruguay international centre-back. The 22-year-old joined the Spanish giants in 2018 and has broken into Ronald Koeman’s first team. According to WhoScored, the Uruguay international centre-back has made 13 starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Barca this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.
Everton are planning to sign a centre-back in the summer. Araujo is highly appreciated but Barcelona will *not* sell him. No talks for Demiral, he’s not even a target. 🔵 #EFC
