Canadiens’ Josh Anderson won’t return to Thursday’s game vs. Jets

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson left Thursday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets and will not return, the team announced.

Further details about the nature of his departure were not made immediately available by the team.

On Anderson’s last shift late in the first period, he collided with Jets defenceman Dylan DeMelo. Anderson finished the shift but went to the locker room afterwards and did not return to the bench again before ultimately being ruled out.

The winger has scored nine goals and added three assists in 18 games with Montreal this season, his first as a member of the Canadiens after being acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the off-season.
