Ind vs Eng: Rishabh Pant’s love for Marvel superhero Spider-Man is not hidden. From singing the viral song ‘Spiderman, Spiderman’ during the series between India and Australia, to mimicking the fictional superhero during his gym session, the 23-year-old has lost not chance to express his love for Spiderman.
The left-handed batsman has found a new buddy and he wasted no time in christening him ‘Spidey’. The southpaw, who has scored a fifty in each of his last four Tests, introduced his fans with his new friend.
“I’ve spent a lot of time behind the stumps, thought of taking in a new view at the nets today! Meet my new friend, I call him spidey,” Pant has captioned the video posted on his social media handles. His friend ‘Spidey’ is a drone.
Pant has been in spectacular form ever since his inspiring 97-run knock against Australia in Sydney.
His energy from behind the stumps has also garnered a lot of appreciation from fans and experts alike. During the first Test, he was heard lifting his team’s morale on several occasions.
“He’s (Pant) a guy who likes to have fun on the field. That’s his personality and essence. We want him to continue doing that manner because that keeps the boys entertained and conversation out there is very helpful when the situation is tough and the things are not going your way,” Kohli said in the post-match interview after India lost the first Test against England.
