IPL 2021 Auction: Five PSL 2021 players who will go under the hammer on Feb 18 in Chennai- All the eight franchises have reached Chennai ahead of the IPL 2021 auction on Thursday. The teams will be looking to buy key players to strengthen their squad. As many as 292 players will go under the hammer during IPL 2021 bidding. The list includes 125 overseas players and three from associate nations. The remaining 164 players are from India.

Ahead of the auction, we take a look at five IPL players who will play in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL). The tournament will begin on February 20.

Alex Hales

The former England opening batsman was in red hot form in the recently concluded BBL. He smashed 543 runs in 15 innings for Sydney Thunders. The 32-year-old will play for Islamabad United in upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021). He is expected to be bought at a higher cost than his base price in IPL 2021 auction.

Base Price: Rs 1.5 crore

Dan Christian

The Australian all-rounder is in the form of his life in last few T20 matches. Christian 2.0 will be a great pick for any IPL teams who are eyeing a no.6 or 7 batsman and a bowler to deliver in the powerplay and death overs. Christian plays for Karachi Kings in PSL.

Base price: Rs 75 lakh

Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman

The Afghanistan pacer has failed to live up to experience over the past year. But he has the experience of playing the top T20 leagues in the world including the Big Bash League and CPL. The 19-year-old will play for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2021.

Base Price: Rs 1.5 crore

Carlos Braithwaite

The West Indies player can perform for any IPL team with his all-round ability. He can further aid the leader of the pack owing to his experience of leading West Indies in World T20. Braithwaite will don Multan Sultans jersey in the upcoming PSL season.

Base price: Rs 50 lakh

Ben Cutting

The Australia all-rounder is in news off late owing his knot with former IPL presenter Erin Holland. Cutting was good in the BBL 2020-21 and can be a good addition for any IPL franchise. He plays for Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League.

Base price: Rs 75 lakh
