Rangers’ Shesterkin helped off ice after suffering injury vs. Sharks

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin was helped off the ice during Friday’s game vs. the San Jose Sharks after sustaining an apparent lower-body injury.

The injury was non-contact and occurred five minutes into the third period. After the game, head coach Gerrard Gallant said the injury did not look as bad as it looked.

Shesterkin has registered 12 wins with a 2.15 goals-against average and .935 save percentage in 17 appearances this season.
