Report: Celtics finalizing deal to acquire Evan Fournier from Magic

The Boston Celtics are reportedly finalizing a deal to acquire small forward Evan Fournier from the Orlando Magic for two second-round picks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

This comes on the heels of Orlando sending centre Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls, and with rumours of an Aaron Gordon trade swirling.

Fournier, a nine-year NBA veteran, has posted a career-high 19.7 points per game this season (his seventh in Orlando). The 28-year-old also has a career high assist rate (3.7 per game) to go with a 56 per cent effective shooting percentage — 30 points higher than his career average.

Fournier is signed only through the end of this season.
