Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh reunite in PPE Kits as they reach Raipur

Road Safety World Series 2021: Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh reunite in PPE Kits: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and former India champion all-rounder Yuvraj Singh arrived in Raipur on Tuesday to take part in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series. The World Cup 2011 winners took the opportunity to share a picture on social media in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits as a safeguard against COVID-19. Sharing the picture of Instagram, Yuvraj urged Instagram to wear masks to prevent the COVID-19 virus and stay safe when it comes to road safety.

While Yuvraj can be seen donning a red mask with yellow shaded sunglass, Sachin paired his PPE kit with a white mask.

The Road Safety World Series will feature six teams: India, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and West Indies. Bangladesh has been added as a cover-up for Australia amid the pandemic. The opening match will be played on March 5. The matches will kick-off from 7 pm onwards.

All the fixtures will be played at the newly-built Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium. The venue has a seating capacity of 65,000 spectators. But only 50 per cent of the seats can be bought due to COVID-19 protocols.

India Legends: Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Mohammed Kaif, Yusuf Pathan, Naman Ojha, Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha, Noel David, Munaf Patel, Irfan Pathan, Manpreet Gony.

Other overseas stars include Kevin Pietersen, Muttiah Muralitharan, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tillakaratne Dilshan. The semifinals and the final will take place on March 17-19 and 21 respectively.

The sole aim of the T20 league is to change people’s mindset and behaviour on roads and create awareness regarding road safety.
